17. ಎದೋಮಿನ ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ದೂತರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ--ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಹಾದು ಹೋಗಲು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಆಗಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ಎದೋಮಿನ ಅರಸನು ಕೇಳದೆ ಹೋದನು. ಅವರು ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಗೂ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು; ಅವನೂ ಒಪ್ಪದೆ ಹೋದನು. ಆದದ ರಿಂದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು ಕಾದೇಶಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡಿದರು.
