3. ಆಗ ಅವನ ತಂದೆ ತಾಯಿಯೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನಿನಗೆ ಸುನ್ನತಿ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿ ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋ ದರರ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರ ಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸ್ತ್ರೀ ಇಲ್ಲವೋ ಅಂದರು. ಆದರೆ ಸಂಸೋನನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ--ಅವಳನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೋ; ಅವಳು ನನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿದ್ದಾಳೆ ಅಂದನು.
