9. ಹೊಂಚುಗಾರರು ಅವಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೊಠಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ದರು. ಅವಳು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಸಂಸೋನನೇ, ಪಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿ ಯರು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆ ಅಂದಳು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ಬೆಂಕಿಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಸಣಬಿನ ಹುರಿಹರಿದು ಹೋಗುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಾರಿನ ಬರಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಿದುಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಹೀಗೆ ಅವನ ಶಕ್ತಿ ತಿಳಿಯಲ್ಪಡದೆ ಹೋಯಿತು.
