Leviticus 17.14
14. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ರಕ್ತವೇ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶರೀರಗಳ ಜೀವವಾಗಿದೆ; ಅದಕ್ಕಿರುವ ರಕ್ತವು ಅದರ ಜೀವಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ ಇದೆ; ಆದದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ--ನೀವು ಯಾವ ಬಗೆಯ ಶರೀರದ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನೂ ತಿನ್ನಬಾರದೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶರೀರಗಳ ಜೀವವು ರಕ್ತದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇದೆ; ಇದನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುವ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡಬೇಕು.
