12. ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯ ಮೇಲಿನ ಬೆಂಕಿಯು ಅದರೊಳಗೆ ಸುಡುತ್ತಿರಬೇಕು; ಅದು ಉರಿಯುತ್ತಲೇ ಇರಬೇಕು. ಪ್ರತಿ ಮುಂಜಾನೆ ಯಾಜಕನು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಯನ್ನು ಸುಡಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ದಹನಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ಇಡಬೇಕು; ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನ ಯಜ್ಞಗಳ ಕೊಬ್ಬನ್ನು ಸುಡಬೇಕು.
