21. ತಾನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಹೇಗೆ ಹಿರಿಯರಿಂದಲೂ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಯಾಜಕರಿಂದಲೂ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಬಹು ಶ್ರಮೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಿ ಕೊಲ್ಲಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಮೂರನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಎದ್ದು ಬರುವದು ಅವಶ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಯೇಸು ಅಂದಿನಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದನು.
