19. ಆಗ ಆತನು ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಅಂಜೂರದ ಮರವನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಅದರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಎಲೆಗಳನ್ನೇ ಹೊರತು ಮತ್ತೇನೂ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆಗ ಆತನು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ--ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಫಲವು ಬಾರದಿರಲಿ ಅಂದನು. ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಆ ಅಂಜೂರದ ಮರವು ಒಣಗಿ ಹೋಯಿತು.
