2. Gibeoniečiai buvo ne izraelitų kilmės, bet iš amoritų likučio. Izraelitai buvo jiems prisiekę jų neišnaikinti, tačiau Saulius iš savo uolumo dėl Izraelio ir Judo siekė juos išžudyti.
