16. Tad Herods, redzēdams, ka viņu gudrie izsmējuši, ļoti dusmojās, aizsūtīja un nogalināja visus bērnus, kuri bija Betlēmē un visā tās apkārtnē, sākot ar diviem gadiem un jaunākus, saskaņā ar laiku, kādu viņš iztaujāja gudrajiem.
