3. Tad Samuēls runāja, visam Israēla namam sacīdams: "Ja jūs no visas savas sirds gribat atgriezties pie Tā Kunga, tad izmetiet ārā no sava vidus šos svešo tautu dievus un Aštartes tēlus, pievērsiet savu sirdi Tam Kungam un kalpojiet vienīgi Viņam, tad Viņš jūs izglābs no filistiešu rokas."
