2. Viņš, Tā Kunga kalps, uzauga neticīgā pūļa priekšā kā atvase un kā saknes atzarojums izkaltušā zemē. Viņam nebija nekāda izskata, nedz arī kāda skaistuma, lai mēs to ar labpatiku uzlūkotu; tur nebija arī nekā ārēji redzama, lai mēs viņā būtu atraduši ko patīkamu.
