1. Svētīgs tas cilvēks, kas neseko bezdievīgo padomam, nedz staigā grēcinieku ceļus, nedz arī sēž paļātāju pulkā,
  
2. bet kam prāts saistās pie Tā Kunga baušļiem un kas dienām un naktīm domā par Viņa bauslību.
  
3. Tāds ir līdzīgs kokam, kas stādīts pie ūdens upēm, kas savus augļus nes pareizā laikā un kam lapas nesavīst. Viss, ko viņš dara, tam labi izdodas.
  
4. Ne tādi ir bezdievīgie: tie ir kā pelavas, ko vējš aizpūš projām.
  
5. Tāpēc bezdievīgie nepastāvēs tiesā, nedz arī taisno draudzē grēcinieki,
  
6. jo Tas Kungs pazīst taisno ceļu, bet bezdievīgo ceļš ved uz postu.
