1. Kad israēlieši izgāja no Ēģiptes un Jēkaba nams devās projām no svešas valodas tautas,
  
2. tad Jūda kļuva par Viņa svēto vietu un Israēls par Viņa varas apgabalu.
  
3. Jūra to redzēja un bēga, Jordāna pagrieza atpakaļ savu straumi.
  
4. Kalni lēkāja kā auni un pakalni kā jauni jēri.
  
5. Kas tev bija, jūra, ka tu bēgi, un tev, Jordāna, ka tu griezies atpakaļ?
  
6. Kas notika jums, kalni, ka jūs lēkājāt kā auni un jūs, pakalni, kā jauni jēri?
  
7. Tā Kunga priekšā drebi, tu zeme, drebi Jēkaba Dieva priekšā,
  
8. kas pārvērta klinti par ezeru un akmeņus par ūdens avotiem!
