1. Svētceļnieku dziesma. Es piesaucu To Kungu savās bēdās, un Viņš mani paklausīja.
  
2. Ak, Kungs, izglāb manu dvēseli no melkuļu lūpām un no viltus mēlēm!
  
3. Ko viltīga mēle Tev dos, vai ko viņa Tev pieliks?
  
4. Tā ir kā spēcīga cīnītāja asas bultas, kā gailošas paegļa ogles!
  
5. Cik žēl, ka es esmu svešinieks Mešekā, ka man jādzīvo Kedara teltīs!
  
6. Pārāk ilgi man jādzīvo pie tiem, kas ienīst mieru.
  
7. Es turu mieru, bet, līdzko es runāju, viņi cenšas izraisīt karus.
