Toen zeide Jonathan tot David: Ga in vrede; hetgeen wij beiden in den Naam des HEEREN gezworen Hebben, zeggende: De HEERE zij tussen mij en tussen u, en tussen mijn zaad en tussen uw zaad, zij tot in eeuwigheid! [ (I Samuel 20:43) Daarna stond hij op, en ging heen; en Jonathan kwam in de stad. ]
