18. En het geschiedde op den zevenden dag, dat het kind stierf; en Davids knechten vreesden hem aan te zeggen, dat het kind dood was, want zij zeiden: Ziet, als het kind nog levend was, spraken wij tot hem, maar hij hoorde naar onze stem niet, hoe zullen wij dan tot hem zeggen: Het kind is dood? Want het mocht kwaad doen.
