23. Maar hij weigerde af te wijken. Zo sloeg hem Abner met het achterste van de spies aan de vijfde rib, dat de spies van achter hem uitging; en hij viel aldaar, en stierf op zijn plaats. En het geschiedde, dat allen, die tot de plaats kwamen, alwaar Asahel gevallen en gestorven was, staan bleven.
