10. En Amasa hoedde zich niet voor het zwaard, dat in Joabs hand was; zo sloeg hij hem daarmede aan de vijfde rib, en hij stortte zijn ingewand ter aarde uit, en hij sloeg hem niet ten tweeden male, en hij stierf. Toen jaagden Joab en zijn broeder Abisai, Seba, den zoon van Bichri, achterna.
