1. Een lied op Hammaaloth. Ik hef mijn ogen op tot U, Die in de hemelen zit.
  
2. Zie, gelijk de ogen der knechten zijn op de hand hunner heren; gelijk de ogen der dienstmaagd zijn op de hand harer vrouw; alzo zijn onze ogen op den HEERE, onze God, totdat Hij ons genadig zij.
  
3. Zijt ons genadig, o HEERE! zijt ons genadig, want wij zijn der verachting veel te zat.
  
4. Onze ziel is veel te zat des spots der weelderigen, der verachting der hovaardigen.
