Daarom, zo waarachtig als Ik leef, spreekt de HEERE der heirscharen, de God Israels: Moab zal zekerlijk zijn als Sodom, en de kinderen Ammons als Gomorra, een netelheide, en een zoutgroeve, en een verwoesting tot in eeuwigheid! De overigen Mijns volks zullen ze beroven, en het overige Mijns volks zal ze erfelijk bezitten.
