6. Toen riep Akis David en zeide tot hem: Zo waar de HERE leeft, gij zijt een eerlijk man en ik zou het wel goed vinden, dat gij in het leger met mij uittrekt en terugkeert, want ik heb in u geen kwaad gevonden van de dag af, dat gij bij mij gekomen zijt, tot op deze dag; maar gij zijt niet aangenaam in de ogen der stadsvorsten.
