23. Maar hij weigerde weg te gaan. Toen stak Abner hem met het achtereind van de speer in het onderlijf, zodat de speer er aan de achterkant weer uitkwam; en hij viel daar en bleef op de plaats dood. En allen die bij de plaats kwamen, waar Asaël gevallen en gestorven was, bleven stilstaan.
