21. En Abner zeide tot David: Laat ik mij opmaken en geheel Israël gaan verzamelen tot mijn heer, de koning, opdat zij een verbond met u sluiten en gij koning wordt over het geheel, waarnaar uw begeerte uitgaat. Toen liet David Abner gaan en hij vertrok in vrede.
