62. Toen verzochten de burgers van Gaza Jonatan om vrede. Hij reikte hun de hand; hij nam de zonen van de magistraten van de stad als gijzelaars en zond ze naar Jeruzalem. Daarna trok hij verder door het land tot aan Damascus.
