10. hun ter ore was gekomen, hadden ze een enkele veldheer op de Grieken afgestuurd om met hen de strijd aan te binden: veel Grieken sneuvelden, hun vrouwen en kinderen werden gevangen weggevoerd, hun bezittingen geplunderd, hun land in bezit genomen, hun vestingen ontmanteld en het volk werd onderworpen; het is onderworpen gebleven tot op de dag van vandaag.
