26. Lysias beklom het spreekgestoelte en verdedigde de overeenkomst zo goed hij kon. Hij slaagde erin het volk te kalmeren, te overtuigen en milder te stemmen. Daarna keerde hij naar Antiochie terug. Zo verliepen de opmars en de aftocht van de koning.
