25. Toen zei David tot de bode: ‘Zeg tegen Joab: Trek u deze geschiedenis maar niet al te zeer aan; het zwaard verslindt nu deze, dan gene. Zet de strijd tegen de stad krachtig voort en maak haar met de grond gelijk. Zo moet u hem moed inspreken.’
