23. Toen Asael hem nog niet met rust wilde laten, stak Abner hem het eind van zijn lans in de buik, zodat het er aan de andere kant weer uitkwam. Asael stortte neer en stierf ter plaatse. En allen die bij de plek kwamen waar Asael was neergestort en gestorven bleven daar stilstaan.
