17. Toen David de engel zag die het volk teisterde, zei hij tot Jahwe: ‘Ach Heer, alleen ik heb gezondigd, alleen ik heb verkeerd gedaan, maar deze schapen, wat hebben zij gedaan? Laat uw hand liever op mij en op het huis van mijn vader drukken!’
