Abner werd woedend over deze vraag van Isboset en zei: ‘Ben ik soms een hondsvot die het met Juda houdt?’ Terwijl ik mijn trouwe toon aan het huis van uw vader Saul, aan zijn broers en zijn vrienden, terwijl ik zorg dat u niet in de handen van David valt, komt u mij nu een misstap met die vrouw verwijten?
