15. Toen Farao hardnekkig weigerde ons te laten gaan, heeft Jahwe alle eerstgeborenen van Egypte gedood, zowel de eerstgeborenen van de mensen als die van het vee. Daarom offer ik al het mannelijke dat de moederschoot opent aan Jahwe en koop ik elke eerstgeboren zoon vrij.
