21. Toen gaf koning Sidkia bevel Jeremia vast te houden in het kwartier van de wacht. Hij kreeg iedere dag een brood uit de bakkerstraat, tot al het brood in de stad op was, maar hij moest in het kwartier van de wacht blijven.
