39. en veroverde haar, evenals de onderhorige steden, en nam de koning gevangen. Zij joegen hen over de kling en sloegen al haar levende wezens met de ban; Jozua liet niemand ontkomen. Zoals hij Hebron en Libna en hun koningen behandeld had, zo behandelde hij ook Debir en zijn koning.
