29. De koning van Ai liet hij aan een paal ophangen. ‘s Avonds, bij zonsondergang, gaf Jozua bevel het lijk van de paal af te nemen. Men wierp het voor de ingang van de stadspoort en stapelde er een grote hoop stenen op; die ligt er tot op de huidige dag.
