13. Bagoas begaf zich van Holofernes naar Judit en zei tot haar: 'Moge de wonderschone jongedame niet aarzelen naar mijn heer te komen, om vandaag in zijn tegenwoordigheid gevierd te worden en vrolijk met ons wijn te drinken zoals de Assyrische meisjes in het paleis van Nebukadnessar.'
