19. zei haar schoonmoeder: ‘Waar heb jij vandaag aren gelezen? Waar heb je gewerkt? Gezegend de man die zo vriendelijk voor je geweest is.’ Ruth vertelde haar schoonmoeder, bij wie ze gewerkt had. ‘De man bij wie ik vandaag gewerkt heb,’ zei ze, ‘heet Boaz.’
