36. Bij haar thuiskomst zag Abigaïl dat Nabal een vorstelijk feestmaal had aangericht. Omdat Nabal vrolijk en erg dronken was, repte zij met geen woord over het gebeurde en wachtte tot de volgende ochtend aanbrak.
