21. Eerder dan men verwacht had, vertrok Antiochus met achttienhonderd talenten die hij uit de tempel had geroofd naar Antiochië. In zijn trots en overmoed verbeeldde hij zich dat hij het land bevaarbaar kon maken en dat hij de zee begaanbaar kon maken.
