18. Op de zevende dag stierf het kind. De hovelingen durfden David niet te vertellen dat het kind dood was; ze dachten: `Hij wilde al niet naar ons luisteren toen het kind nog leefde. Hoe kunnen we hem dan nu zeggen dat het kind dood is? Hij begaat een ongeluk!'
