12. Maar de man antwoordde Joab: `Al voelde ik het gewicht van duizend zilverstukken in mijn handen, aan de zoon van de koning zou ik me niet vergrijpen. Wij hebben zelf gehoord dat de koning u en Abisai en Ittai opdracht gaf om Absalom, zijn jongen, te sparen.
