17. Hij had duizend Benjaminieten bij zich, onder wie Siba, de beheerder van het huis van Saul, met zijn vijftien zonen en twintig knechten. Zij haastten zich naar de Jordaan en nog vóór de koning er was staken zij over om de koninklijke familie bij de overtocht te helpen en hem van dienst te zijn.
