12. Badend in zijn bloed lag Amasa midden op de weg. De man merkte dat het leger niet in beweging kwam en sleepte Amasa van de weg af, de berm in. Maar toen hij zag dat alle voorbijgangers bij het lijk bleven staan, wierp hij er een kleed overheen.
