4. Ze zeiden tegen de farao: `Wij zijn gekomen omdat wij hoopten in dit land gastvrijheid te vinden. Want in Kanaän is geen weidegrond meer voor het vee van uw dienaren, omdat er grote hongersnood heerst. Uw dienaren zouden daarom graag in Gosen willen gaan wonen.'
