38. En toen hij zich neergebogen had in de tempel van zijn god Nisrok, doodden zijn zonen Adrammelek en Sareser hem met het zwaard; zij ontkwamen naar het land Ararat. Zijn zoon Esarhaddon volgde hem op als koning.
