16. bleef stroomopwaarts het water staan; in de verte bij de stad Adam, in de omgeving van Saretan, rees het op als een muur; en het water dat wegstroomde naar de zee van Araba, de Zoutzee, werd er volkomen van afgesneden. Zo trok het volk bij Jericho de rivier door.
