13. In zijn zeventiende regeringsjaar bracht hij zijn troepenmacht tegen koning Arpaksad in het veld. In de strijd kreeg Nebukadnessar de overhand en hij dwong heel het leger van Arpaksad, met ruiterij en strijdwagens, tot de terugtocht.
