4. Iedereen was nu weg; volstrekt niemand was in de slaapkamer van Holofernes achtergebleven. Judit stond naast zijn bed en bad in stilte: `Heer, God van alle kracht, zie in dit uur welwillend neer op het werk dat mijn handen gaan volbrengen tot glorie van Jeruzalem.
