16. Toen Herodes zag dat hij door de magiërs misleid was, werd hij woedend. Hij liet in Betlehem en heel de omgeving alle jongetjes van twee jaar en jonger ombrengen, overeenkomstig de tijd die hij van de magiërs had gehoord.
