5. For David tenkte: Min sønn Salomo er ung og vek, og huset som skal bygges for Herren, må gjøres overmåte stort, så det kan være til pris og ære for ham i alle land; jeg vil derfor samle forråd for ham! Så samlet David forråd i mengde, før han døde.
