9. Og du, min sønn Salomo, lær din fars Gud å kjenne og tjen ham med udelt hjerte og med villig sjel! For Herren ransaker alle hjerter og forstår alle menneskers tanker og råd; dersom du søker ham, skal han la sig finne av dig, men dersom du forlater ham, skal han forkaste dig for alltid.
